1)      Is there a dress code at Ballet and All That Jazz Dance School?

Yes.  Every dancer is required to wear appropriate dance attire and shoes throughout classes, rehearsals, photo shoots and performances.  Just click on the Policies under our “ABOUT” tab on our website.

2)      Where can we purchase our dance attire?

You can purchase your dance attire anywhere you’d like.  However, we encourage you to order and purchase your dance attire/shoes from Ballet and All That Jazz for the following reasons:

  i.      We can offer a wide variety of dance items, including the requiring items for BAATJ dress code policy.

 ii.      BAATJ staff will take care of the hassle of ordering.  No need to worry about the sizes… and returns, if any.

3)      What is P.O.W.?

P.O.W. stands for Parents Observation Week.  It is an exciting week parents are able to cross that threshold from the lobby onto the dance floor for an insider’s look into their dancers class.  So bring your cameras!

4)      What is the V.I.P. program?

V.I.P. stands for Very Important Person and is a referral program for our current dancer at Ballet and All That Jazz dance school.  This is a great opportunity to receive a FREE month of tuition.  Just click on the VIP program under our “SCHEDULE” tab on our website and follow the easy instructions.

5)      What is the H.N.N. (Hey Now News)?

The Hey Now News is a monthly newsletter sent on the fifth of every month to your designated email address informing of important and upcoming information.  To subscribe to our newsletter, please do so by entering your name and email address on the right side of our main page. Just click on the Hey Now News! under our “ABOUT” tab on our website.

6)      Are there any additional fees other than monthly tuition?

Yes.  If your dancer is participating in our performing program, there is a mandatory Performance Fee for each family.  This fee includes four performance tickets to our annual performance, a program magazine with your dancer’s photograph, a certificate of participation and a digital copy of the performance for your dancer.  There are also additional costs for costumes, tights, proper dance shoes.  For dancers who are only in the recreational program and are not performing, there is the only cost of proper dance attire/shoes for dance class.

7)      Are discounts provided for registrations?

Yes.  We offer several discounts such as sibling discounts, multiple class discounts, 50% off for male dancers, and discounts for paying the whole dance season in advance.  And the best part… NO registration fee.

8)      What communication methods are used between parents and instructors?

BAATJ communicates in several ways with their families.  Such methods include monthly newsletters/articles that are emailed to our HNN receivers, our school bulletin, school website and our FaceBook page.  BAATJ is also happy to schedule an in-person conferences when requested.

9)      When and where is the Annual Performance?

The BAATJ holds its annual performance at The EGG in Albany in the month of May.  Just click on the “Dance Performance” tab on our website.
